Our Process

The Platform Lift Company covers every aspect of the installation of a platform lift from the initial site survey through to the design, build, installation and aftercare.

Our focused, ISO 9000 driven approach ensures that our platform lifts go in first time every time, delays and remedial work are avoided and building control approval is expedited.

Site Surveys

We provide a full site survey complete with site and product-specific drawings for your platform lift installation, carried out by one of our highly experienced surveyors. Having completed the site survey and risk assessment, they will brief our in-house draughtsman to create a set of site-specific drawings detailing the building works required for the platform lift installation.

Pre-shipping Inspection & Delivery

We take great care to ensure that our platform lifts arrive on time and in perfect condition. Prior to dispatch, products are carefully inspected at our headquarters to ensure there are no missing or damaged components and the finish is flawless.

Delivery

To ensure that delivery of the lift to site goes smoothly and to time, we use our own transport (with on-board crane) driven by qualified platform lift installers. If we are completing the platform lift installation, our engineers will meet the delivery on site to ensure a swift installation.

Installation

Our trained and experienced platform lift installation team meet our transport on site to ensure that the installation is carried out smoothly with minimum disruption to other activities on site.

The installation will be completed to our site-specific drawings and method statements. Prior to leaving site our engineers will obtain sign off from your site team for the installation.

Commissioning and Training

We secure and protect newly installed platform lifts on site still under construction to avoid any accidental damage. Prior to handover our team will return to site to complete commissioning the handover process.

We provide training to make sure operational managers and staff are familiar with the platform lift’s operation and are given a process to follow in the event of malfunction or power loss.

Service, Maintenance & Emergency Support

The Platform Lift Company has its own service division, made up of fully qualified platform lift maintenance engineers and in-house support staff. Our service packages provide everything you need to keep your platform lift in good working order including routine maintenance checks and the option of unlimited breakdown cover.
