Technical Sales Manager

Circa Basic £25k + car + uncapped commission

The Role – Technical Sales Manager

  • Within your territory – responsible for all aspects of finding, developing and closing new business opportunities and also retaining existing clients in line with our budgetary targets and growth objectives
  • With your colleagues – responsible for identify continually more effective approaches to promoting our company with our clients’ companies
  • Sales activities will include administration, preparation of bids, solicitations and proposals, technical/commercial correspondence, meetings, presentations, negotiations, visit reports, and related duties.

Additional responsibilities

  • Project cost estimates
  • Manage and oversee contracts – to include passing definitive contracts and costings to the contracts team
  • Accurately prepare professional quotations and proposals to agreed company standards
  • Identify new product/market opportunities
  • Produce market requirement specifications with analysis and cost data, business case etc
  • Be aware of all legislation, codes of practices, ISO9001 internal procedures and operating standards affecting the business and ensure proper compliance
  • Prepare for and attend price/contractual negotiations with customers, and sign contracts to the level authorised.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate that they possess the following:

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels
  • Excellent personal results management
  • Computer literacy including Word and Excel and ACT
  • A determination to continually win and develop business opportunities
  • Be able to work on your own initiative and follow our procedures accurately
  • The ability to manage sales through to client sign-off
  • An electro-mechanical background preferably with experience from within the Platform lift and or lift industry
