Platform Lift Company helps Ferrari Store Become DDA Compliant

The new Ferrari Store, Regent Street London, has installed a bespoke Italian designed platform lift to comply with the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) and enable customers to reach different floors levels.

The Percassi Group and GAD design, who were contracted for the refurbishment, approached the Platform Lift Company. The specification was to install an access lift that would be both functional, without compromising on design and in keeping with the Ferrari brand.

The Platform Lift Company installed and modified the Italian designed Vimec E06. The Vimec EO6 is a stylish hydraulic platform lift that can be customised to fit any type of environment.  Manufactured to offer complete flexibility, the E06 has its own self-supporting structure or can be installed into pre-existing shafts.

The Vimec at the Ferrari Store has been modified into cabin structure so that it feels more like a passenger lift. This creates a more contemporary feel and allows the store to become DDA compliant without compromising on style. The Vimec has been finished in gun metal grey and has been clad in Ferrari red to match the branding and corporate identity of the store.  The glass panels on the lift were frosted, upon special request, to create a current and fashionable finish.
