Meet our Platform Lift Sales Team

Six months ago, Jason Bartlett joined our team as Sales Manager. We caught up with Jason to ask him about his experience so far.

What is it like going from a large corporation to a smaller business?

Everyone works together towards the same goal, with a willingness to help and ensure we all meet our targets and have fun along the way. I like that fact you are not just a number but part of a team, a family. You can also see that your hard work is making a difference and you are rewarded for it.

Tell us about the highlights and successes so far?

Highlights have been the exhibitions like Naidex and Grand Designs. I really enjoyed meeting customers and discussing great products like the FlexStep and the Motala 2000.  Now lockdown has ended, I can finally also get out on the road again and meet customers face-to face to see their projects first-hand rather than on a screen.

My big successes so far has been smashing my target in just four months since joining in 2021 and being on track this year with some great orders coming in.

Is there a big difference in selling platform lifts to passenger lifts?

It’s a much more price driven market than passenger lifts, but you also get to see a wider part of the population from homeowners to builders, whereas passenger lifts its more value-based selling to builders and developers.

Are you surprised how platform lifts have advanced in design?

Yes I am,  especially with products like the FlexStep, which is just a really big game changing bit of equipment.

Are there any trends in the market with regards to specification from architects/interior designers?

Architects are looking for more innovative designs that help them blend disability lifts into a building to make it fully compliant with the Equality Act.

What are your goals for 2022?

To help the business grow through sales and providing a high level of support to our ever-expanding network of great clients. In between working, I am determined to go on holiday and spend family time with my three girls.
