We have been inundated with requests and questions about our new professional lift sanitiser. This useful FAQ’s provides a useful guide about this revolutionary new product. If you have any more questions, please let us know. 

How does the lift sanitiser work?

The automated device includes a fast-acting Absolute HEPA filter, combined with an activated charcoal membrane to continuously sanitise the air. The UVGI LED light, which has hospital-grade antimicrobial properties, efficiently sterilizes all surfaces.

How does the UVC LED ultraviolet light work safely?

The UVGI LED light which is equipped with a motion and thermal sensor is automatically activated in the stand-by phase when there are no passengers inside the lift.

How effective is the lift sanitiser at removing bacteria and viruses?

The UVC LED ultraviolet light is the same germicidal UVGI (Ultraviolet Germicidal Irradiation) technology used for sanitising hospitals. Reassuringly, it guarantees the complete and instantaneous sterilization of the lift cabin, removing 99.9% of microorganisms from all surfaces.

Can the lift sanitiser be installed in any type of lift, including enclosed platform lifts?

Yes, this lift sanitiser can be retrofitted by our qualified and certified engineers

How is the lift sanitiser fixed into the lift car / cabin?

The lift sanitiser is located on the lift car/cabin roof. Holes are required for the installation of the air vents and the UVGI LED light. The pipes and ducts to the device sit above the roof. It is connected to the lifts existing power supply.  

How easy is it to maintain the lift sanitiser device?

The air filter should be changed every 6 months and the LED Lamp every five years which can be carried out by The Platform Lift Company’s qualified engineers.
