2-in-1 platform lift innovation provides an alternative access solution at Grand Designs

FlexStep, a revolutionary and award-winning product invented by Liftup A/S to provide both stairs and a wheelchair lift, is being displayed at Grand Designs, NEC Birmingham, 6-10 October 2021. Liftup’s UK distributor, The Platform Lift Company, will be on Stand: B55A, to represent the Danish company Liftup A/S and to demonstrate FlexStep.

Where space is at a premium, FlexStep by Liftup delivers both stairs and step free access for wheelchair users and pedestrians. At a press of a button, this ingenious 2-in-1 solution transforms from a flight of stairs to a platform lift. It provides a flexible alternative to installing a flight of stairs and a separate lift.

Both commercial and residential environments can benefit from this space-saving product. Specifiers can choose from different step widths and a variety of materials and finishes to blend in seamlessly with an existing or new design scheme. FlexStep is suitable for internal and external settings.

The FlexStep can travel up to 1250 mm and has a lifting capacity of 400kg. Installation can be carried out within a three day period without costly preparation or major building works.
