DDA Compliant Lift for Retail: Car Showroom

Requirement:

Talbot Construction wanted to ensure that the build of a new Ford showroom in Essex included disability access in line with the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA).

Solution:

The solution needed to be of contemporary design in order to fit in with the modern building. The Internal Vertical platform lift is free standing, has a fire rated shaft and battery backup in case of mains power failure. The Internal Vertical lift design is contemporary, making it the perfect solution for the showroom. Safety features include slip-resistant floors and contact-sensitive perimeter safety edges. Because the lift is free standing, it has a rapid installation time, therefore causing minimum disruption.

Benefits:

By installing a platform lift, the Ford showroom can now employ disabled workers and cater for mobility-impaired customers. The Internal Vertical lift was a perfect fit for the site, as its contemporary façade complemented the showroom.

Gary Hunt, contracts buyer for Talbot Construction comments: "The Platform Lift Company always gets the job done on time. We trust the company to give us the best product on the market, for a price our client can afford. No-one likes to think too much about lifts as long as it works – and the lifts the Platform Lift Company install never let us down."
