Smooth sailing for this external platform lift installation

The Platform Lift Company Limited was contacted by the chief executive officer Clive Ongley of the AHOY Centre to supply, install & maintain an external three stop glazed Swedish style platform lift to meet the requirements of the equality Act 2010 and allow people access all areas of the centre, with its predominately clear glass shaft has made travelling to the three floors, an enjoyable experience being able to view.

Simple to use, the stylish laminated push-button operation is located on all three landings and within the platform console, supplied within its own glazed and steel structure with sloped roof, it blends in well with the environment, making disabled and less abled people enjoy the scenic ride.

As with all The Platform Lift Company products, the Swedish Platform Lift is covered with 12 months warranty and continued lift maintenance by our very own service and maintenance team.

The AHOY Centre charity, delivering on the River Thames is both innovative and inspiring. By working with those most in need of support, they are helping those with disabilities and providing excellent diversionary activities for young people. Taking those most at risk off the streets and away from the path of negative and anti-social behaviour they provide extensive training and, most importantly, teach the citizenship & life skills that are fundamental tools for finding future employment.
